Hello, I'm Ravin Ramananjara Pierre the PROGRESSIVE. I'm known for being innovatively disruptive & transparent. I'm a "working class threat" against established and rising Corporate Democrats & Corporate Republicans.
I'm a local born PNW Aerospace Engineer, Data Scientist and STEM enthusiast who's lived in Washington for +35 years.
I was proudly raised by my working class immigrant parents from Madagascar & Haiti, who were penpals for 20 years before marriage.
I was born in a speeding red Ford Fairlane Wagon on I-405 South near Redmond, WA and grew up in the neighborhoods of South Everett & Mill Creek, WA.
I'm a husband to a (Anti-Putin) Russian engineer immigrant and father of 2 young children, who enjoy their privacy; they are not props, they are people.
I'm 'anti-career politicians' and I'm hellbent on term limits (my personal goal is 1 term);
thus I'm your 2022 aggressive progressive, data driven Democratic challenger to US Senator Patty Murray (WA).
Professionally, I'm currently on 2022 sabbatical while running for Federal Office.
I graduated from Henry M Jackson High School in 2000. I completed my B.S. at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Aerospace Engineering, with minor Mathematics, 2005 in Daytona Beach, Florida.
And unpleasantly like many others, I struggled to pay off the +$120K undergrad student loans.
Later I completed my Masters in Astronautical Engineering at University of Southern California (USC), remotely in 2011 while working full time.
Previously, I've worked at US D.O.E. CDF @ FermiLab Particle Accelerator in Chicago, I contributed to the NASA MESSEGER Satellite probe to the Planet Mercury
and I have 1 US patent grant + 2 pending.
For the past 15 years, I pro-bono career mentored more than 50+ (mostly young) people into STEM fields and I'm currently on the advisory committee for Seattle University's Masters Program in Data Science.
As a space advocate/nerd, I've delivered presentations & talks at Small Satellite Conference in Logan, UT and Space Symposium 365 in Colorado Springs, CO. And I volunteer at Space Frontier’s New Space Conference in Seattle, WA.
I've been a delegate for local Bernie Sanders 2016 Presidential Campaign.
I've proudly volunteer collaborated with DataKind (#Data4Good) + United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on satellite imagery as a team Data Science manager.
And I've participated in 3 international pro-democracy protests in Eastern Europe (Pro-Navalny / Anti-Putin), South East Asia & North America.
